  • Children who started to be looked after due to abuse or neglect – values for 2016 previously showed values reported for 2017, this has now been corrected to reflect values for 2016.
  • Children who started to be looked after due to family stress or dysfunction or absent parenting - confidence intervals for the 2016 values have been corrected

  • Children in need due to parent disability or illness: rate per 10,000 children under 18

In the definitions tab, the denominator for these indicators were defined as ‘All children identified as 'in need' on 31st March’, however the mid-year population estimate  for 0-17 year olds were used. The definition now shows the correct denominator.

 

In the finance domain, all indicators have been updated:

  • Spend (£000s) on Local Authority children and young people's services (excluding education): rate (£) per 10,000 aged 0-17
  • Spend (£000s) on Sure Start Children's Centres and early years: rate (£) per 10,000 aged 0-17

In Identification of Need domain two indicators have been corrected:

  • Pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs (primary school age)
  • Pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs (secondary school age)

These had been calculated using total pupils with SEN as the denominator, instead of total pupils. This has now been corrected.
