Introduction

These indicators are for GP patients. Some of the information in them are:

  • how easy it is to get an appointment
  • patients’ opinions about their practice
  • the number of people working at the practice

Users can compare any practice within a parliamentary constituency or NHS organisation thanks to a range of visualisations and area options.

If you're looking for a family doctor or GP, you can also visit Care Quality Commission (CQC) website to check:

  • what services they offer
  • the quality of care you can expect

If the source data is for GPs, for the mapping of GPs to Primary Care Networks (PCNs), currently this epcn file (27 October 2023) is used (available from Organisation Data Service, NHS England). Aggregated values based on this mapping may differ from PCN values published from other sources or the previously published PCN values where legal entities have changed in the meantime.

Profiles are generated for all practices that were active in 2022/23 and had a list size of at least 750 patients. A practice is considered as 'active' if there is, at least, one of the following:

  • a record for it in the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF)
  • NHS England lists the practice with a list size of 750 patients (as of April 2023), and there exists valid GP patient survey data for the practice for the same year

For more details, visit the rules for inclusion and list of included practices.
