Note: As the demand increases for statistics and data to measure the impact of the COVID19 pandemic, Public Health England is focussing efforts on priority analysis and statistics. In line with guidance from the Office for Statistics Regulation, the decision has therefore been made to suspend updates to LAPE until December 2020. We will keep this under review.

Due to concerns of usefulness and future sustainability, LAPE is considering removing the ‘Claimants of benefits due to alcoholism’ indicator. Feedback is sought via the ‘Contact Us’ option at the top of this page, otherwise the indicator will be removed in the planned July 2019 update.

The CCG values have been updated in the quarterly admission episodes for alcohol-related conditions, broad Q1 2009/10 to Q3 2016/17 (provisional) dataset. This is due to an error being identified effecting the ordering of the CCG geogs (events and rates). We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
