Introduction

This profile brings together selected Fingertips indicators that are thought to reflect the diversity of potential impacts on health as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. It includes indicators from across Fingertips profiles broken-down into several domains:

  • Impact on mortality
  • Disruption to healthcare
  • Reduction in prevention, detection and management of conditions
  • Wider societal and economic impacts that affect health
  • Wellbeing and behavioural risk factors.

This profile is linked to the Wider Impacts of Covid on Health (WICH) tool and will provide (where available) more local information for indicators included in it. As indicators become available at local level they will be added to an additional Domain called 'WICH indicators.' [currently not available] As new indicators become available they will be announced in the Recent Updates section of this page.

For up-to-date information about the outbreak please check the dashboard on gov.uk. For health advice, and the latest government guidance consult the NHS website, related gov.uk pages or the BBC.
