This section presents data on factors related to the health and wellbeing of pregnant women, children and young people including child health profiles.
Comprising the Child Health Profiles, these indicators are designed to help local authorities and health services improve the health and wellbeing of children and tackle health inequalities. Available for each upper-tier local authority and for each clinical commissioning group (CCG) in England.
By using these indicators local organisations can work in partnership to plan and commission evidence-based services based on local need. The profiles allow comparison between the outcomes in local populations with others in order to identify and learn from better performing areas.
Detailed information (metadata) about the data used in Child Health Profiles is presented in the Indicator Guide. Use this document to find out how each indicator was created, where the data comes from, and what the public health and policy rationale is.
